But I am thinking, if the distance between accelerating ring,

and the colliding ring is high,

and the passengers are in the center of the accelerating ring, as a ship.

 

Then maybe the explosion can be used as a force.

 

How well the colliding ring handles that without damage is another issue altogether.

 

Nor if it will create a respectful speed due to that explosion, no idea.

 

But could be used in some way.
