So I am trying to conceptualize/visualize how the acceleration of the ship, inside the tunnel can happen by use of lasers. Which would be a dominant force that can be controlled precisely in terms of power.

Imagine a wheel, a spinning disc, or a fidget spinner, with its edges smoothed out.

Imagine this placed throughout the tunnel, per segment of the ring of the tunnel.

Kind of like those spinning brushes from the sides in a car wash.

Now imagine that with lasers, or non-material energy of some kind.

(So there is no actual friction by material to material)

Rather, the acceleration of the energy that is in a circular loop by itself,

which is going forward in one direction,

becomes contact with the surface of the ship,

and accelerates it, without damaging it.

I'm just trying to conceptualize a way to continuously accelerate without having to shoot at the ship (which will miss)

and create sort of a perpetual motion for these acceleration devices on its own.

So the ship, benefits from it on its slightest contact, from the edges of the tunnel.

But lasers don't really bend.

I was thinking what if a laser was circular, like a disc, perpetuating motion in a loop,

and the light portion is exposed to be in contact with the ship?

And inner half of the ring is actual material that creates the laser.

But it doesn't work that way, optics must be surrounding it in order to create that loop.

But can it curve? Just exposing the light to be in contact with the ship?

and shooting and receiving end are solid materials....

Just imagining this....

But there's be many ways...
