Do you remember Mr Musk, that I was trying to use the wooden ships to send down 'rings', to create a pillar in the beginning?  Like your rockets? Sliced in layers?

Do you also remember, I used the ring-saw mechanism for cutting down the trees,

and used this principle directly on the ring pillars as a welding machine? Following tracks on the pillar, it would weld the metal portions that would connect to each other.

 

But depending on the depth of the water, the diameter of the rings had to be bigger.

And the diameter of those rings were limited to the size of the ships.

 

So I segmented the rings. Separating them to be connected together. Thus then the size of the diameter can be any size. As they are separated in pieces.

 

You can use this to create a pillar, of which will need to be welded together from within, following tracks, as they are stacking up. Inside would be like the cubes for the space escalator. There would be metal frames inside that connects to it up and down. To be welded together.
