Mr Musk. If you are still involved with my ideas, here is another thought.
On the space escalator, something of that scale, by size and weight, will inevitably have
some form of unknown factors like, unwanted compression, or misalignment here and there.
So when the height changes, and the alignment may change, even a little,
it means the tracks will be affected.
And to adapt to this, either is to create a machine that mends the tracks as it goes up,
or, have no tracks at all, with less steeper slopes, so the machines can climb up
and repair any unpredictable factors with cement, leveling out the floor.
That is probably the way to go...
