Personally,

 

People keep talking about what came first.

 

Chicken or the egg.

 

God or the big bang.

 

It's like this.

 

Logically, consciousness stems from somewhere. That is the brain.

The brain is a network of neurons. The cells.

If "God" has a consciousness, he must also have this complex network of neurons,

in order to think.

And that, complexity, those patterns, cannot exist out of nothing.

It must come from trial and error of life itself. Evolution.

And say that evolution in different forms, in the emptiness of cosmic space,

still requires some form of beginning, and evolving. Sophistication of the mind, through the brain, it can't just manifest out of nothing.

Would you want to argue, God doesn't have a brain?

God doesn't require any 'patterns' of material at all?

Even be it energy?

I don't think so.

 

So the answer, I believe, chicken cannot exist first without the egg.

Sophication followed from simplicity.

And simplicity most likely materialized from energy.

 

And let us say, the "big bang" was created by an alien, and this is one of many universes.

Even that alien must have a beginning.

So I am not saying there isn't a "God",

just not what the civilization wrote up few minutes ago (in the grand scale of timeline of evolution)

and when we die,

my opinion is that we are stuck in time, in the past somewhere,

which can be accessible to future generation, at least by exchange of information by observation perhaps, but not physically travelling, long time from now.

But to assume a 'soul' that escapes your body....

The brain is active for up to 6 hours even after the heart stops. Activity that is,

it fades, doesn't shut off instantly. So people who has seen the afterlife and has comeback,

was clinically dead, but on a cellular level, they were alive. And their brain was active.

All sorts of things can be seen during that time.

 

So that is my logical point of view. You can believe anything else. It's okay.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Just don't interfere with other people's beliefs.
