hmm... you can also align the hive compartments vertically,

then the person would be standing upright as the cabin moves upward.

but this will most likely sacrifice space. (by length) unless side to side,

another is placed right beside it.

whether standing upright, or laying down to the side is more

comfortable, don't know. drawback is that the door will have to be locked

so people don't go out of it, so the entrance/door point would be

facing the cockpit instead the tail. and then there's the space that is needed

to get in there in the first place, so it would need to be further apart.

meh.... whatever is more advantageous.

*i think upright is the way to go because, you've got then

two arms free, alongside your two feet to an extent, for balance

and something to grab on to, as you fall.

and even with the parachutes, it won't be a pleasant experience

no. that is dangerous. the whole point is to avoid

any hazards. even  if the plane lands safely,

during that time, anything could *happen.

best to separate from the damaged.  

debris flying off and hurting someone.

source of the hazard will always be from the outside,

mostly in the engines. combustion is likely.

the point would be distance the passengers from it.

but still, the shell and the engines can be repaired,

and it is better to repair than to make it again from scratch,

so, to save it using your technology, would be optimal.
