Don't forget the manufacturing method.

 

While a lot of it is a mix of components,

 

In the beginning stages, the mainframe/shells can be made easily

 

with interlocking, and CNC I believe....

 

And maybe, plating them with sheets of metal *may be of use.

Unless they must be hollow... Of which, another very thin,

very long, spear-like CNC can be used to hollow out the wood,

once the outside is covered and welded by metal sheets....

 

(Just trying to save time in assembly of the shell)

 

But maybe that isn't a practical method...
