1. As it folds,

2. And as the main core is ejected,

3. Parachutes from somewhere near the jet engines, near the wings, released.

4. As it falls, re-folds into... the plane again.

5. And from there the jet engine buys time to activate itself.

 

 

Or just keep it vertical everything. To fall slowly.

So propellers...
