i can imagine a design based on stability and function at least.

don't know about the energy it would require, engines,

and control mechanisms but....

 

drones work in that design for stability.

unicycles exist in that larger mode, (as far as driving from higher view) xD

and road mode will work as well but....

 

placement of engines, energy distribution.

transformation of the shells, making the wheels/turbines work.

 

sure. it is overwhelming.

 

but not impossible.

 

but i think there is a energy restraint

to all this....

 

but is it worth it in the first place.
