the only readily avaliable material against radiation would be metal, or thickness of the metal,

anyway. this method has everything that is needed. speed, shielding, scaling.

 

what design is the question, and, if to rely on function,

it's not going to look like the buildings here on Earth.

 

Or, shouldn't be. If to rely on aesthetics as design,

safety issues.

 

But, it can still be beautiful no doubt.

 

Shielding against radiation,

containing oxygen,

commute between buildings,

convenience of not having to wear suits if at all possible between these commutes,

where the landing area of vehicles, and how they would be shielded as well...

 

etc....

 

 

at least in the initial settlement it has to be this way.

 

until someday terraformation, and to freely walk about....
