and there was this pad looking thing with "wings"?

 

Does it use any type of sponge, is the outer layer plastic?

Can it be replaced by textile/fabric?

Does it require 'glue' like substance?

 

Breaking down the ingredients and making a machine specifically

for this purpose will help a lot of people probably.

 

I read on a magazine the tube thing can cause sepsis?

So that may actually be easier thing to make with a customized

3D printer and recyclable materials, but maybe that is not safe.

 

If to make it fabric/it would need a designation to be used

with certain very abundant, cheap materials. Rice husks?
