My guess is that David just did that to passive aggressively

to tell me to remove the ice cream carton I forgot to

remove from the upper fridge area.

 

Well, my ear need not be punished because of this.

A gentle closing would have sufficed.

Please do be aware that there are infrared camera as smoke alarm

in the kitchen as well.
