Was thinking this yesterday

as I was looking at the world maps....

Would it be advantageous for Australia,

if a continental bridge was created

between

Africa to Australia

and,

India to Australia

As the international waters are fairly close to these regions.

Looked into it, it doesn't work for East Asia in general

because the waters are of shallower depth, and is considered a economic zone.

Though there are narrow passage ways within these zones that is considered internatonal waters.

It can open up a trade between those nations above,

while still holding soverignity. If there was extension of the sea platform that registered itself as a country,

as recognized by the U.N.

If some series of skyscrapers can be built on that platform, closer to their continent.

It can also work as a relay point for individuals to enter Australia through that point of introduction.

Although, partly severed from these continent/country and based on international waters would mean,

boats are still needed to carry cargo for that shorter remaining distance.

Smaller price to pay for soverignity.

But not necessarily the most desirable path to entering another country or filtered of correct personnel.

If say, a person who chooses to leave their country, builds a boat, to last at least a week on Sea,

and say, with correct coordinates, they can arrive there to the branch of the sea platform.

And from there, they ride on the vehicle. Enter the tower every 100km or so, rest, and take the next vehicle.

If the vehicles are full, then wait in the 'city' until it is free. Or until processing.

Maybe another way to increase human resource, population within the country.

Is it ethical to do so? Well it is about equilibrium. There are people in those countries,

suffering due to political oppression, or simply wasn't given a chance to join the economy.

If so, their better option is to start over.

And I would imagine that is quite the number. Many millions.
