Situation reversed. If someone was trying to save his mother.

I would do all that I can to help, even if my beliefs were different.

All that matters is that this person believes he is trying to save his mother.

 

And further, if I understand the outcome of these things is about the future.

And if the practice is about maximizing her chances.

 

To not help, when they are the only ones who can.

To deliberately KEEP the person from doing so by locking me out.

That is tantamount to murder. This is about family.

This is to save his own mother.
