Laser mining I suggested is meant for mineral (metal) mining.

It is not meant to precisely cut something like a marble.

 

It is meant to explode object and gather this when the ground

becomes more malleable, then when it is cleaned to reveal

a harder surface again, the process repeats.

 

So you are getting the wrong idea. Metal, can be melted and

re-joined whole.

 

It's about decimating the given area very fast,

and incrementally cleaning it up, layer by layer.

 

It eliminates labourers, and requires different machines.

I even suggested machines to clear out the area

and take this from the lift to ground level, remember....?

 

 

 

And obviously, this idea, which is most likely to work,

can help with extracting mineral reserves in their nation....
