12:30am, conflict.
as the roommate was using the kitchen,
turning the water on and washing the dishes a bit,
about to use the slow cooker(?) or something like that.
so i say politely,
"I don't know what is correct in this situation,
but I think the house rules are at 11pm,
maybe we shouldn't be turning on water by the kitchen or wash dishes at this hour."
(somewhere along this line)
roommate, accepts this at very hostile manner,
replies, "buddy, talk to someone who gives a fuck."
so i ask, so then we can use it at any hour?
he says it don't matter.
i say, i wouldn't turn it on for you ----
etc.
yeah, so it's a very small space.
i say, i'm not trying to fight you,
i'm saying what i believe is right.
and told him if i can't sleep, i'll have to talk to the manager...
what is correct in this situation?
kitchen is, basically connected to my room.
distance 1.5 meters from sink to my door. or less.
television isn't loud but always on...
i told him i would use headphones after 11pm for me.
am i the asshole or is he?
i think.... there are rules and he doesn't give a damn. xD
to be fair,
he has been nice on few things:
that there are free food pick up places.
that when I asked him i am allergic to "irish spring" soap,
and that I will buy him a replacement to use. he removed it from the shelf.
so maybe i am too strict?
it's a house so i can sleep-in anyway...
don't know. i just don't like breaching rules.
