Had a misunderstanding with new roommate.
Whom I never observed before. (age/face)
I was surprised the other *new roommate from that bed was gone.
And while he was in, last few days, did not see his face.
For the room was dark, and I just basically didn't,
even when lights on (I don't think not too long) in the morning.
I asked the other roommate, if this was a new person
he said yes, and talk to him about the noise issue on
the hallway during the night. (if you've seen the camera.)
So he came in agitated and angry due to our encounter
last night.
He was making these noises with his mouth as if he
was tasting something, every few minutes.
Then finishing with a kind of yawn, or a grumble.
I asked him very nicely "i'm sorry to say this....
but I can't sleep due to these sounds you are making" (etc)
but I thought I was being ignored as he did it
even more frequently.......
so I got up and told him, if you continue
this behavior I will have to go to the front desk.
I was rather raised my voice third time spoken,
because I thought he was bullying. (At this point I could
only see color of skin, very dark in the room)
Today he came in, (still dark in the room)
but my laptop was on, and he told me to
either get earplugs or change room.
That he has dentures, and has asthma.
..........I told him I can't use earplugs
because I have vertigo and I got out from
the hospital some time ago and recovering.
So. Awkward situation, but there was the
explanation.
1. He did have dentures.
2. He appears to have lung issues,
but the yawn/grumble I did not understand.
I guess it is related to it.
We shook hands. In understanding each other.
He will try and be quiet.
I told him I will *try to use earplugs....
(At least on the left ear)
I just fear leaving any sort of pressure in the ear = inner ear issue more prominent.
In any case, that is about it.
I hope he gets better. And sorry about the misunderstanding.
I thought he was wake and I guess he did not hear me the first time
(he got agitated for waking him up) (for me, I spoke very clearly I believe twice, mentioning about the phone (phone was the roommate's not him) )
so since he did so even more frequently I thought he was bullying. hahaha
Anyway, issue resolved. And he is right. If it is involuntary, I must move out or put up with it.
Just... endless conflicts due to the situation.
I really wish I can get out. But I can't even get to the caseworker's office now due to my vertigo worsening.
I must try and find a way.
