To the staff at the shelter:
Just to let you know, the 3 of us (not the new roommate) had a discussion when we woke up this morning.
The new guy on bed 105C, does not sleep. He goes in and out of the room making quite a ruckus.
We tell him either come in to sleep and stay put, or don't come in at all, because the noise he is making keeps waking us up.
He tests out his lighter, makes loud steps, he does not concern about the sound of the door as well, and it was I believe,
(not entirely sure as I was half-asleep but woken up later) twice per every few hours. Going in and out.
The issue here is this.
When we try and correct him, he does not say sorry.
Rather one of two things:
1. He believes that he has the right to do this. Despite knowing it is causing harm. So he says it.
2. He falls silent from our talk, and pushes on doing this anyway.
This, I know all too well. As I have mentioned, experienced from others in the room.
Some people prefer to challenge the person instead just yielding to the rules.
Despite knowing it's a communal living, and we have to make some sacrifices.
So the 3 of us have difficulty sleeping, and he doesn't care for responsibility of his actions.
Then, I believe he needs to move into another room. If possible.
*One more thing:
I noticed the staff following me into the bathroom twice yesterday and checking what is going on.
Nothing is going on. Nothing ever will be going on. I am not trying to harm myself. Please stop.
It is somewhat embarassing and annoying at the same time. At least send a male staff if you must.
