Both machines,

 

the one with the height,

and one 'shoots' out the chains are needed,

 

one for covering flat ground.

one for covering slopes.

 

in case with slopes,

the explosions are less predictable.

so the chains, will likely be

replaced at a greater length.

 

but. chains themselves,

broken or not, is reusable.

 

recyclable.
